Harry and Meghan in Valentino delighted Invictus Games competitors when they made an unannounced appearance at an evening reception last night.
Not many images have been released, but we saw Meghan and Harry mingling with competitors and fans in the pictures we’ve seen! Below is a photo of Meghan with a competitor from team Iraq.

It’s been a busy easter day for Meghan and Harry! They kicked it off attending by making various appearances at events throughout the day, which included archery, sitting volleyball, track and field events.
From there, Harry and Meghan separated for solo engagements, with Harry heading to the archery competition while Meghan joined a special Easter reading event at the British Embassy tent.
Many of Meghan’s fans, which were lucky to meet her ahead of the reception, shared several pictures of her look – including a girl named Eline who shared several lovely photos after the reception.
A lot of fans (including myself) loved the Valentino dress Meghan wore – but many couldn’t stop talking about her lipstick.
I saw several tweets saying: ”MEGHAN IN RED LIPSTICK IS MY FAVORITE,” and “I have been waiting for Meghan to wear red lipstick.” and “I love the red lip and side part.”
Meghan’s close friend Daniel Martin is in charge of Meghan’s beauty look whilst in the Netherlands, and despite having previously admitted that Meghan doesn’t feel comfortable wearing red lipstick, it seems she has changed her mind.
“The one time she did a red lip, she just didn’t feel comfortable in it,” Daniel told Teen Vogue in 2019. “She likes to talk and she’s not a fussy person, so she doesn’t want to have to worry about anything.”
About her go-to routine, he added back then: “She likes a stronger eye, her brow is a lot more defined now. But it’s still her. If anything, she’s going to experiment with different tones, and now that she’s more tan she’ll use warmer colors. But she doesn’t stray too far from her technique, she’s very formulaic with her routine. They have so many engagements, you have to stick with what you know and feel comfortable and confident and just own it.”
The Invictus Games Idea began on a trip to the Warrior Games in the USA in 2013, where Harry saw how the power of sport could help wounded servicemen and women in their recovery – physically, psychologically, and socially.
His mind was made up. London would host the inaugural Invictus Games, an international sporting event for wounded, injured, and sick Service personnel. He directed his charity, The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, to deliver the games in partnership with the Ministry of Defence.
The word ‘Invictus’ means ‘unconquered’. It embodies the fighting spirit of the wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and what these tenacious men and women can achieve, post-injury.
Launching the Games, Prince Harry said: “I have witnessed first-hand how the power of sport can positively impact the lives of wounded, injured, and sick Servicemen and women in their journey of recovery.”.
