Meghan joined by Serena Williams to watch Harry play polo for the first time after their wedding!

In their first public hangout since the royal wedding, Meghan and Serena Williams spent their day watching the Harry play a lovely game of polo in a small-town west of London.

It was reported that Serena cancelled a press conference in Wimbledon last-minute, where she was going to talk about her first appearance at the Grand Slam since having a daughter, so she and her husband Alexis Ohanian could watch Prince Harry and Prince William compete at the Audi Polo Challenge in Ascot. At the match, the couple and Meghan stayed in the Very Important Person area where they watched the princes’ team, Audi e-tron, win 5-2.

The event that day supported two charities, Child Bereavement UK, and Tusk Trust.

It was a very lovely day and Meghan was seen smiling all day:

Serena and Meghan have remained loyal friends since their first real hang out in 2014. Meghan wrote on her now-shut-down blog The Tig that the two crossed paths for the first time in Miami during the 2010 Super Bowl. But it would take a few more years for their friendship to blossom.

Meghan, who was then starring on “Suits” at the time, and Serena crossed paths again at the event, playing flag football together at a celebrity game.

“We hit it off immediately, taking pictures, laughing through the flag football game we were both playing in, and chatting not about tennis or acting, but about all the good old fashioned girlie stuff. So began our friendship,” Meghan revealed on The Tig.

Meghan shared alot about their friendship on The Tig: “She quickly became a confidante I would text when I was traveling, the friend I would rally around for her tennis matches, and the down-to-earth chick I was able to grab lunch with just a couple weeks ago in Toronto. We are both the same age, have a penchant for hot sauces, and adore fashion, but what connects us more than those things is perhaps our belief in exceeding expectations — our endless ambition.”

Meghan’s look that day was so casual and stylish! I really liked it. She wore the Shoshanna Sleeveless Belted Gingham Eyelet Dress

She accombined it with her trusted Madewell x Baltimore Panama hat

And a pair of Sarah Flint Grear Sandals.

A lovely day!
