Meghan made a surprise appearance that day on what would have been Princess Diana’s 57th birthday to cheer on Harry playing polo!
Meghan was accompanied by Serena Williams and her husband for the match the day before. However, she arrived accompanied by Harry, friends, and protection officers, making an entrance to the polo via the rear that day.
All the men in the Windsor family play polo: Prince Harry, Prince William, Prince Charles, and even Prince Philip and King George VI have been polo players. They’ve made appearances, played in tournaments, and enjoyed the spectacle from the sidelines. Queen Elizabeth has made regular appearances at polo matches throughout her reign. Images dating back to the mid 50’s show her in attendance in bold full skirts.
Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret at a polo match:
With the temperature at Cowarth Park Polo Club in Berkshire nearing 30C that day it was a very hot day. Meghan stunned again in a casual outfit.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived at the Audi Polo Challenge, for the second day running, looking as loved up as ever. As usual, all eyes were on the Duchess, and particularly her choice of outfit for the event.
Meghan nailed off-duty style in a monochrome ensemble that comprised skinny jeans, a shirt, straw hat and ballerina flats. We just can’t fault this simple yet chic look; it’s the perfect choice for casual outings and weekend trips.
No wardrobe is complete without a staple shirt, and an oversized fit and neutral colourway is crucial for versatility. Meghan’s version is from J.Crew and could be paired with everything from smart trousers and trainers to a floaty skirt and heels… The possibilities are endless!”
Meghan wore the J.Crew ‘Perfect’ Linen Shirt
Her pants are believed to be the Everlane Ankle Length Denim in Black
She accombined it with her trusted Madewell x Baltimore Panama hat
And the Gucci ‘Sylvie’ Clutch
And her Black leather Chanel round-toe flats. We saw it on Meghan on the Tig in 2014, and again when heading to yoga in April 2017.
