Q&A June 2021

Hi everyone, happy Friday! I can’t believe we’re at the end of June and be starting out Juli soon?! Seems like just a few days ago I was putting together May’s Q&A post

I received about 100 questions this time, and picked few of them to answer:

Me:

Q: What’s your favorite place to travel to?

A: I mean, I have a list of faves but I just think, after much thought, you can’t beat what UAE has to offer! It is stunning in SO MANY WAYS, has amazing food and people, and there’s a place to enjoy in UAE for everyone! I will say… Beirut will always have such a special place in my heart! Both my parents grew up in Beirut I freaking loooove Beirut! It is a hidden gem! Italy is another fave. I haven’t seen enough of it yet but, from my experience in Milano and Roma, I know there’s more to love in that corner of the world.

Q: What are you watching on Netflix these days?

A: Nothing on Netflix these days. I am wayyy too into Married At First Sight – currently watching Season 7. If you like the bachelor, you’ll like this.

Q: What is your favorite thing about yours husband?

A: This one is going to take a while! I have a long list. I’ll try to keep it short:

⦁ He respects his mom, and he loves her so much. He grew up without a dad, so he has been “the man of the house” since he was very young. I believe how a man loved and treats the women in his family shows you a lot about how he will treat a future wife.

⦁ He is the best dad to our daughter! I know it sounds a bit cliché, but I’ve honestly never seen a relationship so deep between a father and his daughter.

⦁ In the 12 years we’ve been together, he’s never made me guess his feelings – he has always put himself and his feelings out there, which has always given me confidence in us and trust in him.

⦁ He’s true to his word, always.

⦁ He makes me feel safe, chosen and loved every day.

⦁ He’s hard working, ambitious and goal oriented.

Q: Are you planning on having more kids?
A: Definitely. Just not now as we’re both very busy. Our move to Dubai takes up quite a bit. But who knows, maybe when we have settled and got used to the life there, we will consider it.

TheSussexTeam:

Q: When do you think we’ll see Meghan again:

A: Well, there has been much speculation as to whether Meghan and Harry will return to the UK for Lilibet’s christening, but it now seems unlikely. The coronavirus pandemic has made international travel very difficult, and with the family’s internal issues still unresolved, Harry and Meghan may not feel much of a pull anyway. If I have to make a guess, I’ll say probably next Trooping maybe. Christmas maybe? Maybe they could make it over for Christmas? Nothing has been confirmed yet; we will have to wait and see.

Q: Is Meghan the first American to marry into the British royal family?

A: No, she is not. Wallis Simpson also married into the British royal family. She was American, and she married King Edward VIII who had by then abdicated and was known as the Duke of Windsor. Wallis became known as the Duchess of Windsor after their marriage, but her HRH style was withheld from her.

Q: I read the other day that Meghan and Harry have said they only want two children. Why?

A: Harry revealed that for the first time in a Q&A for the Vogue issue in September 2019 that Meghan guest edited. It was said during a conversation between Harry and Dr. Jane Goodall. They discussed unconscious racism at length, and Harry touched on his, at that time, future hopes to expand his family – all while considering his family’s impact on the planet. “Two, maximum!” he told her.

Q: Why did they announce the birth? I thought they wanted a private life

A: The short answer: why not? They’re clearly excited about expanding their family and the news is a welcome reprieve from the grim atmosphere caused by the pandemic.

It is important to say here, that their decision to announce the birth is not undermining their own privacy. It was announced on their terms, rather than leaked to the press or uncovered by paparazzi. And I must say, I really love how everything is being revealed by them, and nothing is being leaked.

Q: Who do you think expressed the concerns about Archie’s skin color?

A: Well, let’s use the exclusion method here. I honestly don’t think such a conversation came up between Harry and a member of his extended family – because if that was the case don’t think Harry would have given at much as a thought. Harry already revealed through Oprah that it’s not the Queen or Prince Phillip & I don’t think it’s something the female wives brought up, to be honest.

So, for me, that narrows it down to Prince Charles or Prince William. My guess would be Prince Charles.

During the interview with Oprah, Meghan said something to suggest that Charles might have also disclosed that he doesn’t plan to extend an HRH to Meghan and Harry’s children even when he ascends the throne. The whole topic about skin color was brought up while speaking about Archie not getting a title. For me, that indicates that the person who commented has the power to refuse him the title.

What do you think? Please comment with your opinions. I love to hear them.

Whew! I hope if you’ve been looking an answer to a question that this was helpful! Now cheers to kicking off the summer xo.

  1. Keep on keeping on. For me, the leakers seeking to cause more harm towards the Sussexes continue to feed the frenzy of the media. No matter where the Sussexes are or what they’re involved in, the leakers will do their utmost to cause harm. After all, if they become financially unsuccessful like the rest, maybe the perception is they’ll come back under others’ terms.
