Today, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Instagram account revealed that Meghan Markle popped into the Mayhew animal welfare charity ‘to hear about the incredible progress made throughout the festive period’.
The post captioned:
“’The Duchess of Sussex, having been proud patron of Mayhew since January 2019 and long understanding the connection between animal and community welfare, applauds the people at Mayhew for the vital work that they do every day.”
The caption continued: “From cats and dogs who have found new homes to animal welfare cases handled in the community—@TheMayhew believes in the power of togetherness and the special bond between humans and animals.”
Omid Scobie details of the visit on Twitter and wrote:
Established in 1886 and formerly called The Mayhew Animal Home, Mayhew is an animal welfare charity “working to improve the lives of dogs, cats and the people in local communities – both in London and internationally.”
Meghan Markle opted for a navy wool coat by Massimo Dutti for Mayhew visit.
Underneath she wore the Misha Nonoo Husband Shirt. It is described as a “modern, elegant, and chic – our Husband Shirt is not your average button-up. Stand out at board meetings with it tucked into a pencil skirt, or style it with jeans on your day off, the Husband Shirt is a universally flattering power piece that will have you wondering how you ever lived without it. Available in multiple colorways and an option to personalize with a custom monogram, there’s a reason why it’s our best seller – husband not included.
The Husband Shirt is an oversized blue and white striped cotton button-up shirt with silver tuxedo-style studs. It features elongated cuffs, a classic stitched tuxedo pleat, and the signature MN logo embroidered on the back of the neck.
She accessorized with her Dean Davidson Rainbow Moonstuds earrings.
