Meghan and Harry attended the 100 Days to Peace music gala, an event which aims to support mental health-related causes, specifically veterans with PTSD.
They arrived all smiling and holding hands
The engagement was an “evening of music and reflection” that marks the last 100 days of World War I. Proceeds from the gala aimed to benefit the charities Help for Heroes, Combat Stress, and Heads Together, the Royal Foundation’s initiative to raise awareness for mental health.
Upon arrival Meghan and Harry were greeted by ex-Army head Lord Dannatt and hiw wife. He was personally responsible for Harry’s first tour of Afghanistan when he was in the military and he and his wife, Lady Dannatt, attended his and Meghan’s wedding.
Meghan and Lady Dannatt had a chat before the event.
The gala took place in one of central London’s largest conference and events venue, the Central Hall Westminster
From People:
“The first half of the show included performances by Lesley Garrett; “He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven” – a poem by WB Yeats published in 1899, and the opening lines from ‘For the Fallen,’ written by Laurence Binyon in 1914.
For the second half, Sir Karl Jenkins will conduct his “The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace,” performed by the Royal Choral Society and the Philharmonia Orchestra. It was commissioned by the Royal Armouries to mark the turn of the millennium to create a legacy of peace and hope for the future.”
Between the breaks, Harry and Meghan got the opportunity to meet some of the evening’s performers and representatives from the three charities, and the trustees and sponsors from the Royal Armouries — the U.K.’s museum of arms and armour.
A video from the gala:
Meghan chose to wear a royal blue dress for the gala – and I loved her choice! Her dress was a chic Jason Wu dress from the Pre-Spring 2019 Collection.
She accompanied with a similar color pair of Aquazzura Portrait of a Lady Pumps
She accessorized it with her trusted Birks snowflake snowstorm earrings
And her Catbird NYC rings:
And finally she carried a Navy Dior Clutch
A “very much royal Meghan” kinda outfit and I loved it!
